Thanks to the LWV for providing this voter's guide - it really did help me narrow my choices for further research, so I can make an informed decision at the polls. Keep on doing what you do so well!

It is the League’s policy to include candidates representing parties holding a primary in WV or candidates legally qualified to appear on the general election ballot in all LWVWV voters service projects.

This is always a useful service provided by The League. While the Mountain Party is holding a Convention in Sutton next weekend, it could be of interest to MP members and independents what their candidates have to say prior to that convention.

After the primary and convention, I am sure the League will include all candidates in any voter guide, debate or candidate forum. While the state media continue to ignore any candidates or movements or independent action, the League, I believe, is free from corporate domination.

The League's Voters’ Guides are intended to inform voters about the candidates who are on the ballot in primary or general elections.

The Mountain Party will not choose its candidate for governor in the Special Primary Election and will not be on the ballot. Instead, registered Mountain Party members will select their candidate at a party convention on May 1. For more information, please see pages 1 and 2 of the "Mountain Party News" at http://www.mtparty.org/newsletter/news_2011_04.pdf

All official candidates for governor who have filed with the Secretary of State’s office for the October 4 Special General Election will be invited to participate in our next Voters' Guide which we expect to be posted here by early September.
